One of the first questions people ask, when first starting out online is “How do I build an email list fast?”

But then they quickly get overwhelmed with all the new skills they have to learn like building a website, PPC, SEO.

But there are two very powerful ways to build email lists and leverage the power of an auto responder even if you don’t have a website.

If you don’t have one yet, Get an Auto-Responder Today.

The first thing you need to build an email list is an auto responder. An Auto-Responder is essential if you want to keep in contact with your prospects via email.

Aweber is the most simple to use out of the various email auto responders I’ve tried.

So if you’re not already signed-up for an auto-responder, take a moment and head over to Aweber now. Use can use my affiliate link to get a two week test drive: http://simplesponsoring.aweber.com or just sign-up straight from the website.

Go do that now, then come back here.

Once you have your Aweber account, here’s what you do next:

You can click +create new list under the My Lists tab.

Name the List (name must be unique to Aweber – you’ll find out why in a second)

You are ready to start building your list.

Now all you have to do to add people to this list is send a blank email to yourlist@aweber.com. (Where “yourlist” is whatever you called it.)

For example, if you’re not already on my list you could send a message to simsponsoring@aweber.com .

Go Out and Promote Your List

Then you can add something like “Learn How to Generate 1000 leads for your business, Send an email to yourlist@aweber.com” in your signatures on forums, in postings, fliers you hand out or listings and and start building a list today.

Whenever someone sends an email to simsponsoring@aweber.com they are added to my list.

I think this is a cool way to build a list without a website and it creates a lot of curiosity.

So now it’s your turn to start building your email list. Click the banner below and head over to aweber now if you don’t already have an auto responder:

Technology and the internet are getting a lot of attention in the MLM business world.

A little while ago, Eric Worre from networkmarketingpro.com posted a video that drew some controversial responses.

He mentioned how anyone trying to build a business using the internet is trying to sell you a system.

The MLM Technology Debate

The truth is EVERYONE in network marketing is SELLING something. People buy a network marketing opportunity as a system to earn money. But a lot of times that system doesn’t turn out to be what they thought.

Eric here is selling the concept that technology does not work with building relationships, but ironically the only reason I really know who Eric is–is because of technology. I feel I’ve gotten to know him from his blog.

This has been made possible solely through technology. In order to build off line, you buy tools to help present. Technology makes these tools less expensive.

What Eric does recommend is IF you use Social Media and the internet, you use it to reconnecting with people and strengthen existing relationships. One of Eric’s top recruits was found when he reconnected with her via a pop-up chat in Facebook.

Here’s the controversial video below:

The Best Way To Use Technology to Build Your MLM

Either way. The key is the relationship. If someone does it the wrong way offline—handing a business card or something before there is a relationship it’s gonna fail.

Offline you build the relationship after you meet a person. Online the relationship is just built before the person contacts you.

For me to develop the skills it would take to do the business offline, it would take me 5-10 years (Eric’s rule of thumb is 7 years to become great at Network Marketing).

Because of my skills and personality, online it would take 3-6 months. But that’s me.

I don’t believe there is a difference between offline and online marketing.

It’s like an old hotel with a “we have color TV” sign. All TVs are color now. You need both.

John Kalench in 17 Secrets of Master Prospectors states a master Prospector is a master of technology. It all depends how you use it.

A business CD or brochure handed to someone without a relationship will be no more effective than an online presentation from someone you don’t know.

Do you agree or disagree with Eric? Let me know by leaving a comment below.
