<p>When it comes down to recruiting people in any Network Marketing opportunity, there are two things you can do to make speed up your level of success.</p>
<p>The first is <strong>Work Your Face Off</strong>.</p>
<p>If you need phone skills go talk to 1000 people in 5 days. If you don&#8217;t have people to talk to master the skill of generating leads or recruiting professionals.  If you want to master the internet go do it.</p>
<p>But remember the more skills you have to learn the slower duplication becomes. If you are not a master of computers, start with learning warm market and referral skills. Offline methods are still a tried and true surefire way to build your business.</p>
<p>Most people jump into the business thinking that one distant relative they know and their best friend will come into the business and then it&#8217;s the road to easy street and a million bucks a year. And that false expectation is why most quit after the five people they know don&#8217;t sign-up in the business.</p>
<h2><strong>Follow The Simple Formula<br />
</strong></h2>
<p>The second thing you can do is get really good at following the <strong><a title="Simple Sponsoring " href="http://simplesponsoring.com">Simple Sponsoring</a></strong> Formula below:</p>
<ul>
<li> <em>Specifics</em> &#8211; Get detailed about who you are looking for, where you will meet them, and how you will introduce your business.</li>
<li><em>Intentions</em> &#8211; When talking to prospects be clear about your intentions. Don&#8217;t befriend someone just to share your bizop with them.</li>
<li><em>Momentum</em> &#8211; When you really get the ball rolling and your mindset is taking you to the top people will flock to your team.</li>
<li><em>Positioning</em> -  You can also call this posture, but you must come from a place where you know what you have is incredible. But never be cocky about it.</li>
<li><em>Leverage</em> &#8211; Find ways to leverage your time, money and relationships. This blog will be sharing a lot about time leverage.</li>
<li><em>Empathy</em> &#8211; Sharing stories that people can relate to and picture themselves in is the most powerful method of creating desire.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>S</strong>pecifics, <strong>I</strong>ntentions, <strong>M</strong>omentum, <strong>P</strong>ositioning, <strong>L</strong>everage and <strong>E</strong>mpathy. Put this formula into action today and sponsoring will become<strong> S.I.M.P.L.E. </strong></p>

<p><a title="MLM Follow Up" href="http://simplesponsoring.com/tag/follow-up">Follow Up</a> in your MLM recruiting efforts is necessary for your success. The following story will illustrate the importance of follow up in your network marketing business.</p>
<p>About 3 years ago, I was consulting on a project to significantly reduce the storage files of a law firm. The project included shredding close to 8 storage sheds of banker boxes full of legal documents.</p>
<h2>Get Invited to Share Information</h2>
<p>In order to get the best price, I went online googled paper shredder&#8217;s and inputted my information into a lead capture page for a free quote.</p>
<p>Within the hour I received a <a title="Phone Skills for MLM" href="http://simplesponsoring.com/tag/phone-skills">phone call</a>, they asked me certain questions about the project to get the best quote. Did I want on site shredding? off site shredding? Would I carry the boxes away myself? When did I want this done by? How many boxes were there?</p>
<p>At this point in the project, I was not yet ready for their services and they understood asked if they could <a title="MLM Follow Up" href="http://simplesponsoring.com/tag/follow-up">follow up</a> with me in a few days. I said sure. The next day I received a phone call from another shredding company (Company B) asking me about the project, they gave me a price quote which was lower than the first company. I told him as well that I was not yet ready to do the project.</p>
<h2>Be Consistent</h2>
<p>Friday arrives and Shredding company A calls me to follow up and see how the project is moving along. They make me a better offer and they ask if they can follow-up with me the next week. The next week comes along and they call me right on time. The continued to call me with my permission every few days to see how the project was. Each time however, it was a different person who called me to follow up and it was hard to remember who I was speaking with as at this point I&#8217;d spoken to a few companies by now.</p>
<p>Then something changed, every time they called it was the same person. And they kept offering me a better deal. Instead of shredding the boxes off site, they&#8217;d give me the same price for on site shredding. I got to know the person who was calling me and they always called when they said they would.</p>
<h2>It&#8217;s Courteous to Follow Up</h2>
<p>Would I have ever called them? No. I was way too busy. After perhaps 2 1/2 months of follow up, the boxes were all ready to go. Guess who got the job? Company A. The last few days before the project, they called and ready to set up the date, but a few hours earlier I had a lower offer. So I told them because I really wanted to work with them at this point, they matched it and sent two trucks instead of one for the shedding to speed up the time.</p>
<p>A week after the project, Company B called me to follow up.</p>
<p>&#8220;Hey Justin are you ready to shred your documents?&#8221;<br />
&#8220;I shredded them last week.&#8221;</p>
<p>I could hear the disappointment in the guys voice, he seemed a bit offended and then asked who it was and why I went with them.<br />
I told him the company&#8217;s name and because it was a better deal.<br />
What I didn&#8217;t tell him was he follow up a month too late.</p>
<p>I didn&#8217;t even have the guys number to call him if I had wanted to work with him&#8212;I had Company A&#8217;s number saved in my phone. I still do.</p>
<h2>Follow Up To Recruit More</h2>
<p>If you want to shred at follow up, follow Company A&#8217;s shredder&#8217;s example</p>
<ul>
<li>Make contact as soon as possible after a lead is generated</li>
<li>Be consistent (Same person called)</li>
<li>Always confirm a follow up time or ask for permission to follow up</li>
<li>Follow up with both the phone and e-mail</li>
<li>Sweeten the deal</li>
<li>Use your system</li>
</ul>
<p>Did I know they were serious about working with me? Yes.<br />
Was I going to follow up with them? No<br />
Did I really want to use their service? Yes.</p>
<p>I like to remember this lesson because often times I forget that people need a little extra push to get into action.  My project was a big deal for the company, but even before they knew the size they were consistent in their follow up efforts.</p>

<p>Tom Challan helped me kick off January, when I decided to participate in his <a title="Tom Challan" href="https://priorityteam.infusionsoft.com/go/rbc/Justin/">Live Bootcamp</a>.</p>
<p>Tom Challan is one of the few people who get what network marketing is all about&#8212;Time Freedom AND Money. So many people in the business have thrown away the time freedom aspect (ie Work hard full time for 5 years then retire.) But Tom has proven it can be done faster, better and in less time.</p>
<p>Tom Challan focuses primarily on phone recruiting skills. As someone who primarily has spent the last 10 years building businesses using almost exclusively the internet and email, I knew this was a skill I needed to master.</p>
<p>Why did I feel I needed this skill? Nearly everyone I consider mentors mastered the skill of talking to people on the phone&#8212;Derek Sivers, Tim Ferriss, Robert Kiyosaki, Mike Dillard and my current business partner all spent considerable time and hours honing phone skills. Derek and Tim&#8217;s story is the same&#8212;-both were horrible at sales and finally became the top dog on the floor. Robert spent time in a sales job and to get more phone time spent time volunteering so he was literally on the phone all the time to get the skills he needed. And Mike went and got a job specifically recruiting physician&#8217;s, as well as sought out the top phone recruiter to be one of his mentors.</p>
<p><a title="Tom Challan" href="https://priorityteam.infusionsoft.com/go/rbc/Justin/">Tom Challan</a>&#8216;s bootcamp certainly got me into action, I made more cold calls to more people in the month than I had all of last year. In fact, last year I only made 1 cold call. Don&#8217;t get me wrong, Tom&#8217;s course isn&#8217;t about cold calling but if you&#8217;re going to meet the numbers he wants and you&#8217;re not quite generating 2000 leads a week. Cold calling is one of the only ways to get your practice and hone your skills.</p>
<p>What did I learn most? I learned how to make people feel like a million bucks in a genuine manner. Not schmoozing. Not sales. And I also came away feeling like a million bucks myself. Just interacting with Tom taught me a lot about myself and how I prospect.</p>

<p><em>Work the Numbers</em> is an often heard phrase in the offline world of network marketing. And Jordan Adler doesn&#8217;t leave that out of his book Beach Money.</p>
<p>One day Jordan was meeting with a young multi-millionaire who made his money in network marketing who told Jordan. In any kind of recruiting business&#8212;financial planning, real estate, insurance or network marketing you need to find 20-30 people in order to find one who will really do something.</p>
<p>To put this to the test, Jordan made a chart and to chart his progress. What did he track? He tracked how many presentations he did each week. Jordan understood one thing that you can&#8217;t control how many people you sponsor&#8212;you can only control how many people you talk to about the business.</p>
<p>Unfortunately, Jordan didn&#8217;t meet his goal of sponsoring 20 people by the end of the year. But, the 16th person he did sponsor really took his business to the next level. In total Jordan says in Beach Money that he&#8217;s only sponsored a total of 122 people in 145 weeks. But those 122 people grew his network to 20,000 people.</p>
<p>And he did not use the internet, purchase leads or do any sort of advertising. By constant effort and tracking his progress he was able to build a business that pays him a million dollars a year.</p>
